Design Background

I've always loved creating things that bring people joy—whether it was painting handmade cards or sketching portraits for loved ones. That creative spirit, combined with a strong interest in math and physics, led me to study engineering at the University of Waterloo.

After graduating, I moved to Seattle to work as a civil engineer specializing in building restoration. I thrived in the fast-paced, ambiguous environment where creative problem-solving was key. During this time, I also helped troubleshoot UX issues for an internal software tool, which sparked my passion for human-centered design.

In 2019, I made the leap into UX design, where I now combine my technical background and creative mindset to design intuitive, user-friendly products that make a real difference in people's lives.

Other Interests

Outside of work, I take my culinary pursuits seriously, and I love making elaborate meals to share with friends to create meaningful experiences together. I am currently creating a cookbook, and have enjoyed applying my product design skills to this process, and have developed an interest in food photography.

I also love traveling and have had the opportunity to backpack through Europe, Asia, Central America and South America. If I’m not on a global adventure, you’ll find me hiking or driving around the PNW looking for a nice beach or mountain trail. Check out photos below from some of my favorite adventures!
